CAMPUS CLEAN UP

Our vision at Campus Clean Up is to offer a more comprehensive cleaning experience compared to traditional cleaning services. We are not here to replace your existing cleaning service; instead, we collaborate with you to provide a service that goes beyond the surface. We will clean all the areas in your home, office, business, vacation home, and investment property that your typical service provider may not be able to access.

This business idea came to mind from a few separate occurrences. The first being when working at many of my clients’ homes through my home repair business in the Northwestern University neighborhood in Evanston. While working at many homes in that area for years, I noticed that at times many houses and apartment buildings would be full of trash, old furniture, cardboard boxes, and many other items like hundreds of solo cups just outside on the lawns. I would also hear many complaints about apartments not being in “move-in condition” when students moved in. That began the thought process.  

The second time was when I would walk into my home after our amazing cleaning person had just finished cleaning it that day. We absolutely adore our cleaning service that comes every other week, but I’d always ask my wife Gabby one question. I would asked her if our cleaning service might be willing to address other areas of the house, which aren’t part of their regular routine? These are areas I noticed needed more attention, but we both immediately realized that would be difficult for them to accomplish due to the nature of the task. Moving heavy items and having to do some tasks that required more technical skills was definitely not in their scope of work. 

That’s when I decided to create CAMPUS CLEAN UP. The idea came to me after I spent a lot of time working around the NU campus and realized that traditional cleaning services don’t provide certain cleaning tasks we all need in our homes. These are tasks that most homeowners do themselves on weekends but most of the time life gets in the way and these tasks become overwhelming.
